| Artwork related to Chocolate Malta! Intensely intriguing! To find non-CM stuff visit Hobbez's Deviantart gallery (that prolly hasn't been updated in a million years) or portfolio-type site (which better have been updated recently) |

One day, I says to myself "Self, you've never actually DRAWN OUT the interior of Chocolate Malta. You just know that it's a giant coffee mug." "Oh, it can't be that hard," I replied. I lied to myself. This illustration was the result of a project for Drawing for Storyboarding entitled "Design Your Own Bar" . The requirements were to make a floorplan, 6 storyboard panels taking you through, and a "keyframe" shot with a good angle of the interior. I figger "Hey! Let's design CM from the ground up finally!" I failed to realize that I'd designed a building that utilizes curvalinear perspective. Which is super hard. Don't do it. Ever. Unless you're just that good.

The costume design for Chocolate Malta's first ever Halloween special. (It is mandating by law that all webcomics have a Halloween special at some point in their existence, if not every year. For serious!) These were actually split up in my sketchbook as I doodled them at random times. I eventually transfered them to a separate sheet of paper and colored with PrismaMarkers. Hooray!

The moving image done for getting the heck offa Keenspace. It might even still be up there, who knows? Pokey's adorable when drinking slurpees, wheather he wants to admit to it or not.

This one's kinda old and was moreso aimed at just Pokey outside of Chocolate Malta. Out of all my characters, Pokey's probably the most likely to be the hard-nosed private eye with a pack of cigs and bottle of whiskey. (The whiskey was probably no surprise, but the cigs? GASP)

Character sheet for Pokey. These tend to be commonplace for people to do in animation and for series and such. Helps you connect with the character, practice expressions, and finalize their coloring. Done with PrismaColor Markers because they're fun when you know how to use them. It'd be nice if someone told me how.

This was an extended version of a single panel I'd originally done for high school art class. In the original, I'd drawn in this style with these characters, but they weren't technically from Chocolate Malta at the time. Long story involving an art teacher from Hades and her "idea" [translation: art takeover] that I should do a comic based on seniors in that art time period. This re-do used the CM style that had finally been adapted for the comic. You know. The cute style.

My first assignment for Sequential Art at SCAD, the notorious "How-To Guide", in which you must make a guide for whatever you chose for a Mongolian cattle herder. Y'know, one without words because they wouldn't be able to read them. This is the first page and quite misleading as to what Pokey is showing you how to do. But you probably already knew that, right?

Page two and the secret of what you're learning to do is revealed! I'd tell you to turn the page upside down for the answer, but since that's not possible on the Internet (yet), I'll just reveal the title in invisible (white) font. Highlight to find out the title! It's like seeing if you won the lottery, only with less money involved! Whee!
